Biography
Charlie Heege was elected to the position of Branch 36 Executive Vice President in March, 1992 and reelected ever since. Charlie started his career in 1979 as a letter carrie in FDR Station. Given that Charlie is the kind of person who is actively involved in Branch 36 activities, in 1983 was elected a Shop Steward in FDR Station. Former Branch 36 President Ullman appointed Charlie Hearing Officer in 1987 and shop steward for Knickerbocker Station in 1989. Charlie was also elected AFL-CIO Delegate for the NALC on the national level from 1996 to 2004. One of Charlie's duties as Executive Vice President is to educate Branch 36 shop stewards, which he does at the quarterly seminars started by President Orapello.
